What are the benefits of pregnancy care with a midwife?

At our midwife clinic, it’s all about making your pregnancy care as simple and stress-free as possible. You can drop in, book online, or have a telehealth appointment at any point in your pregnancy. Whether you need to see us once, regularly, or just when something comes up, we’ve got you covered—and it's all bulk-billed under Medicare.

We’re here for whatever you need. You can see us for education, support, reassurance, advocacy support or just to talk things through if you’re feeling anxious. Need blood tests or ultrasounds ordered? No problem. Want someone to help you go over your results or review reports? We do that too. Whether it’s full clinical care or just emotional support, we’re here to help.

You can have continuity of care from the very start, and see us as much as you want—no limits. Instead of going down the Google rabbit hole or trawling through pregnancy Facebook groups, come to us for real, trusted advice. We’re here to make sure you feel supported, informed, and ready to handle whatever pregnancy throws your way.

Our infusions offer safe, fast-acting relief tailored to tackle these challenges head-on. So whether you’re dehydrated, battling all-day nausea, or just need a serious energy boost from a little extra iron, we’re here to help you feel a bit more like yourself.

shared care

What are the benefits of shared care?

Our Shared Maternity Care model is all about giving you steady, consistent support while staying coordinated with your birthing hospital.

How it works: You’ll see your midwife here at The Womanhood Space for most of your pregnancy care — we’re here to provide clinical care that ensures both you and baby are healthy and that your pregnancy is progressing exactly as we want it to. This includes monitoring growth, checking vitals, and addressing any concerns you have along the way.

At the same time, we’ll be coordinating with your hospital team. You’ll have check-in appointments at the hospital at key points: initially to establish care, and again around 28, 36, and 41 weeks. This way, both your midwife and the hospital team are fully aware of your needs and on the same page. We’re here to make sure you feel supported, heard, and in control of your journey, while keeping your hospital connected.

postpartum care

What are the benefits of postpartum care with a midwife?

Our postpartum care at The Womanhood Space is all about supporting you through those early weeks with your baby. We offer unlimited access to postpartum support for the first 6 weeks and 6 days, ensuring you’re not only healing physically but also adjusting to life with your newborn in a way that feels right for you.

If you’ve been with us during pregnancy, you’ll continue with the same midwife, so you have that familiarity and trust in place. And if you’re starting with us postpartum, you’ll still have consistent care from someone who’s completely focused on your well-being. We can cover anything you need—whether it’s checking in on your postpartum healing, figuring out baby feeding, understanding what’s normal, or just navigating life as a new mum.

The postpartum period comes with so many questions and changes, so we’re here to guide you through all of it. From newborn care to making sure you’re looking after yourself, this service is designed to help you feel truly supported every step of the way.
